Life Skills to Leadership Employment Training Project
The purpose of the project is to develop a competency- and mentorship-based, training program that is culturally relevant and inclusive, to support Indigenous women and gender-diverse peoples in Yukon and northern BC to learn the pre-employment and practical life skills required to gain meaningful and long-term employment in their community as well as support their personal and professional development to resiliency and leadership positions in society.
An independent contractor will conduct research and pilot the training program on YAWC staff and other facilitators as a train-the-trainer opportunity and validation process of the project.
This project is funded by the Yukon Government Economic Development, Community Development Fund, and ends March 31, 2021.
Stay tuned for project developments.
