The Yukon Aboriginal Women’s Council (YAWC) invites qualified planning and development proponents to lead the conceptual development of a YAWC Resiliency Centre social enterprise project in Yukon.

The proponent sought will have proven expertise in conducting feasibility studies in Indigenous community development and will manage the entirety of the feasibility study.

This request for proposal (RFP) includes undertaking needs-assessment research, leading territory-wide community consultations, concept marketing, and programs and services development; assessing technical and legal requirements including land-use planning regulations, developing conceptual plans and architectural drafts, and consolidating the findings into a Business and Engagement Plan and Quote. The proponent will also undertake a Financial Feasibility Assessment, including capital and operational cost breakdown for each project component, considering the social enterprise model and YAWC’s mandate.

YAWC is a non-profit organization with a mission of “working towards a resilient and robust community by empowering Indigenous women, gender diverse people, and their families through culturally inclusive advocacy, healing, learning, and sharing while celebrating success.”
