The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is currently offering extended hours of service on the Individual tax enquiries, benefits enquiries, business enquiries, and Part XIII enquiries lines.
Throughout COVID-19, the CRA has seen a significant increase in call volumes. We understand that for millions of Canadians, their first choice to interact with the CRA is by telephone, which is why we are continuously working to improve our service delivery to Canadians. Over the last year, we’ve introduced a number of measures, such as our automated callback service and extended hours of service to help taxpayers get the tax and benefit information they need.
· Individual tax enquiries, benefit enquiries, and business enquiries lines:
· Part XIII tax enquiries line: Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.
Extended hours will give individuals and businesses, especially those facing hardships as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, more flexibility and more time to have their tax and benefit questions answered.
